About Our Workshops
Partnering with knowledgeable, vendor-neutral professionals and other non-profits, Bookshare is now offering on-site Professional Development workshops on key topics for students with print disabilities: Accessible Instructional Materials and Bookshare in the classroom. All workshops include the following key components:
- Best practices and standards for professional development
- A focus on student needs and improved student achievement
- Accessible Instructional Materials (AIM) and assistive technology in the classroom
- Hands-on activities
- Follow-up virtual coaching for sustained learning
In addition, every participant will develop and leave with actionable plans that are taken into the classroom to support a positive shift in both teacher and student performance.
